FAQ's

Did you know that afternoon tea originated in England with Anna, the seventh Dutchess of Bedford.  She would get hungry mid afternoon and would request snacks that included tea and bread, butter and cake.  She eventually began to share this with Queen Victoria and it became popular in social circles.

Eventually afternoon tea evolved into what it is today.  I time to sit and sip and savor moments together with friends whilst eating something savory (typically cucumber, egg salad, chicken salad or deviled ham), scones with lemon curd, jam and clotted cream, and some selection of sweets.

Tea can be served in a variety of ways.  Here at Tea Time! Our guests choose which kind of loose leaf tea they want and we place that in an individual tea strainer that goes on their cup.  Hot water is poured over and it's left to steep for a minute before adding cream and sugar to taste!
